I sure do love a long weekend! It seems like the first three weeks of class went by both fast and slow – either way I was definitely ready for a break. We had a full house over the weekend and I loved every second of the fun. The Professor’s parents came down from Kentucky and my brother came up from Florida.
We took everyone to The Pickle Barrel on Friday night for burgers and wings. I didn’t take any pictures because I was so busy scarfing down my burger. Afterwards, we hung out on our deck for the first time since we’ve moved in. Time seemed to fly by and Levi reminded us it was time for bed by laying down right there on the porch!Saturday was spent watching football…all…day…long. The Professor grilled out burgers and hot dogs,I made my first apple pie from scratch (well, ok, I bought the crust 🙂 )and we watched part of the Tennessee game until we had to occupy ourselves during the storm delay. We woke up on Sunday and had some cheerios and bananas for breakfast. After church we took everyone on a walk around downtown Milledgeville to show off the campus. We stopped in at the Local Yolkal for breakfast. It was our first time there and everything we ate was FANTASTIC.The only downside was the wait. Our 15 minute wait ended up being almost 45 minutes which is not a ton of fun with a 1 year old. We passed the time by riding the bobcat. On Sunday afternoon, The Professor started an epic water fight in the front yard with the neighbors.
Seriously – how cute is that belly laugh? I could listen to it on repeat all day.
We ended the night with cookies on the porch and some snuggle time before bed.The Professor’s parents had to leave EARLY this morning, but the rest of us slept in and then watched Disney movies while being lazy on the couch.Lazy on the couch is exactly how we plan to spend the rest of our Monday. Our big Labor Day plans include eating leftover pizza and watching a few hours of Community on Hulu 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I’ll be back on Wednesday with WEDDING PICTURES (finally…I know)!
How did you spend the long weekend?
