This has been the most fun wedding recap post to write. Our reception pictures are some of my absolute favorite from the big day. Seeing all of our friends have so much fun puts a huge smile on my face. The Professor and I had A LOT of laughs when we got to this bunch of photos! It took me forever to narrow down which ones to include in the blog, but I tried to stick to the main events and just a few dancing photos 😉
Our first dance was to Aerosmith, I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing. The Professor is going to be really embarrassed that I’m telling you this, but that he was singing that song to me (in a ridiculous, off key, off tone way) when I very first said those 3 special words,
“you’re a dumba**’ ahem, “I Love You.” We joked that it would be ‘our song’ and then decided that it definitely was our song when we had to pick one for our first dance.
I wanted to let my dad pick the song that he and I would dance to for our Father/Daughter dance. I thought he would need some time to think but before I could finish asking the question, he was already starting on the answer: Butterfly Kisses, The Twist, and “That Tonto Song.” I thought he was joking…. He was not. And it was AWESOME.
After we cut the cake, our Best People had their time in the spotlight. I cannot even put into words how much I love JenVern. She is my very best friend in the entire world and had me THIS CLOSE to tears during her speech. The guys did ok too 🙂
The Professor and I stayed at the reception until the very end of the night. We shut the place down and then walked back to our hotel with a few friends. The wonderful people at the Galt House reopened the bar for us (we got there right after last call) to serve us
one two a few more drinks. We stayed up waaay too late hanging out with friends and then I made The Professor take all 50+ bobby pins out of my hair before we finally crashed. He’s such a good husband!
I can’t believe I reached the end of the wedding recap! I really wanted to post all 1000+ pictures on here but I felt that might be overkill 🙂 My next “wedding task” is to finally decide which pictures I want printed and which ones I want in our wedding album. I have to send my 200 favorite to our photographer and I keep putting it off because it is so hard to choose!
What company do you use to print photos? Walgreens? Shutterfly? Some other awesome company I haven’t heard of?
