So far this summer, we’ve been on three vacations (excessive? eh. whatever!) and I haven’t written about any of them! I keep complaining to The Professor that I don’t have time to write, but the truth is, I haven’t been making the time to write.
Since a picture is worth 1,000 words, I’ll let them to (most of) the talking.
Every year, my family takes a trip down to Orange Beach, AL. We’re very lucky to have a WONDERFUL condo to stay in that is right on the beach. This year, my ENTIRE family was able to make the trip down, which made it an even better week.
I read the first 5 books in the Body Movers series by Stephanie Bond while we were on the beach. I need to finish books 6 & 7 before summer ends in a couple of weeks!
We tried building sand castles, but it turns out that toddlers like to smash them as quickly as you can build them!
We turned around to that scene! It was SO COOL. My mom and The Professor panicked and took off towards the condo (The Professor is not a fan of storms). My dad and I stayed back to stare in awe (and take some pictures).
We made it to the condo just in time for the lightening to strike and the rain to start pouring. I’ve watched a lot of storms on the beach and over the ocean, but this was by far the best one I’ve seen.
Are you a “doer” on vacations or are you a “beach bum?”
